Apple TV 4K Remote Stopped Controlling Samsung TV Volume & Mute

EQUIP: Latest Apple TV 4k + Samsung 4k Curved TV

ISSUE: New Apple TV for about a month. The newly designed remote has out of the box controlled the volume and mute on the TV - now it does not.

DIAG: Have researched and tried all listed (Paring the Remote again + Audio settings + Learn Remote)

Any ideas to restore would be most appreciated. This is a feature I really miss!

Thanks

You don't mention trying to verify that your TV is still set to enable HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control). Samsung sometimes labels this "Anynet+". Perhaps the TV updated firmware and reset??

For most TVs, HDMI CEC settings allow the Apple TV 4K to turn the TV on & off (wake/sleep), and allows the ATV4K to ID the TV to enable automatic configuration of the remote for volume control.
