Airtags plus phone for navigation for blind/vision impaired

I was wondering if anyone who is blind/vision impaired has an iphone 11 or newer and has used airtags as "electronic beacons" to navigate their own property? I am thinking of placing airtags in corners of my property plus my entrance door and mailbox and then use the phone to navigate to those locations? Currently have an older iphone but it's something i'd love to try in the future. Basically trying to find a way to map my property on my phone, also looking into geofencing - any feedback or suggestions would be great! Thank you!

Hello Chicks161, I’m not vision impaired, but this is a fascinating technology subject. I found an article from a site called COOL BLIND TECH that talks about the Apple Air Tag features and may give some in site on what you are wanting to do. The good news is your iPhone can be as old as a iPhone 6s for Air Tags to work.

Also Apple has some Accessibility features — Vision Support that might be helpful. Open link on your iPhone.
