So, 2 things actually.
Today Mac stopped opening pdfs in Preview and when I try to open in adobe illustrator where it was created, it just gives me a white block.
A few months ago, our company printer stopped working with my computer.
I am in the middle of making a presentation for tomorrow and its having a complete malfunction. I cannot get my work done....please help.

If a normal startup does not resolve the problem, try booting to Safe Mode. That boot up takes minutes and clears caches and other things that may resolve your problem.

Does this happen in Safe Mode?
A lot of times just boot to Safe Mode followed by normal boot resolves problems.
If no problem in Safe Mode but problem returns after a normal boot that mean something is being loaded during a normal boot that is causing the problem.

With any luck, it was just a temporary glitch.
