Chromakey in final cut pro x giving me grief.

This is driving me crazy. I know it works in imovie, and i think i used to do this in fcpx, but when i try to chromakey now I can't get the colors to work. The background pic should be white in the edges and I look so bad too. Is there a setting I'm doing wrong? I know i'm in a new place using the green screen that's not lit or anything, but i still think i should get something close to satisfactory results?

First set the Strength slider to 0%. Click the Sample Color button. Drag a small section of representative green from the green screen.

You really need to shoot with much more separation between the subject and the green screen to give enough room to lit the background separately.
