IOS podcast app storage

How do I clear out the Documents and Data storage space? Obviously there is something being stored far above the size taken up with the actual podcasts. Something besides deleting the app and resetting my phone to factory settings?

delete podcast app off ipad?it says its taking up 17.89 GB of my 64 GB. I I know you can’t really delete the podcast app. But it says it is taking up 17.89 GB of my 64 GB on my iPad. I have deleted all individual episodes listed. I don’t understand what could possibly be making it that big since I don’t ever remember using it on anything other than my phone. Can anyone help me shrink that/remove it/tell me what happened to make it so huge?

Deleted Data in app moves to Files app I was using a screen recording app and I decided to clear all the recordings within the app (approx. 50GB). Once I did so, the amount of storage used by that app went down but the storage used by the Files app went up the same amount (50GB). I even deleted the original app and the files app still shows the same amount of storage used. I also attempted to shut down and turn back on my iPad to maybe clear the cache but it's no use either. How could I clear up my storage?
