I encountered this odd problem in my new M1 iMac where i cant seem to click on a certain part of my desktop but it gets specially frustrating in the dock because i cant access certain apps unless i open them from finder. It just happens on the lower right side of the screen and if i open new desktops it just doesnt happen in some of them but it will on others. Please help!

It's rather unclear what's going on here , however we can certainly understand the frustration this is causing you. To start, if you haven't yet restarted, we'd suggest doing so. Just go to Apple menu () > Restart...
Afterwards, boot up normally and let us know if you continue to experience the same behavior. Make sure not to open anything so we can further isolate.
If you still have issues, it'd be best to boot into safe mode, as this will rule out anything that launches at startup. For help, check out: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
