I am unable to activate imessage after porting my number from one carrier to another

It turned out that there was an eSim with the old Sprint phone number active as well as a physical sim with the same phone number for t-mobile which was the one that was ported. So once we deleted the eSim and rebooted it came back up correctly and worked! Thanks so much!
