I purchased an MacBook Pro from someone new out of the box. The person did not indicate how long they’ve had the item. After receiving the MacBook I try purchasing applecare+. After putting in the serial number, it then said my item is not eligible for applecare+. I need help I can not have this MacBook without some kind of security.

You purchased a used Mac. If that does not meet your needs, return it and buy a new one.
The item was packaged brand new still wrapped. I’m not sure how long they e had it but I wanted to purchase applecare+. Would you be able to help me with that?
You can only purchase AppleCare+ from Apple. Refer to the link I posted earlier.
