Maps not Rerouting when directions initiated on Apple Watch

Since the last two or three watchOS and/or iOS software updates, Maps will not reroute on my Apple Watch SE and iPhone SE 2 if I miss a turn whenever I initiate directions on my Apple Watch. I have tried signing out/in with my Apple ID, deleting and reinstalling Maps, and fully resetting and reinstalling my Apple Watch and iPhone as new with no avail. Location/privacy setting are all correctly enabled. Is this a software bug or an issue specifically with the SE series?

We understand that since you've updated, your Maps don't reroute properly if you miss a turn.
