iMovie library file

After transferring my data to newer Mac, I need my IMovie files but the message says it can not open the library due to already existing one. Is it a way to restart my IMovie and use only the IMovie library that I transferred?

Try this: Close iMovie if it is open. Then open iMovie while holding down the Option key. In the box that appears click on the Locate button. Navigate to the place where your iMovie library is located and select it. Then click on the Open button to open iMovie in the selected library. .
