Photosensitive Epilepsy and Mac Screen

Is there a Mac screen that is not LED and therefore poses no risk to a person with photosensitive epilepsy? Which older models are LCD? Can the LED screen be modified somehow other than with just filters?

Pretty much all Apple display devices use an LCD with LED backlighting.

I don’t believe Apple is using any pure-LED non-LCD displays.

The details of the LCD construction can vary, with LCD OLED used in some Apple devices, and LCD TFT in others.

Older LCDs usually used cold cathode fluorescent backlighting, but it’s been a while since those were used.

You’re probably best going directly to an Apple Store to see what is available, or discussing your requirements directly with Apple, and with your medical provider.
