iCloud extremely slow on superfast network

Why does nsurlsessiond use anywhere from a few bytes to 21Kb when syncing iCloud?

Especially annoying when I go into the office after a few days or weeks and have to wait half a day for my files to populate on my office Mac.

This has always been a problem, and Apple seem to not notice it. Is it a problem of Apple's bandwidth purchases being too stingy?

Hi. In case of a slow iCloud response time, in case your wifi network is not the issue, try to go to Settings, Accounts, iCloud. Then, log out of your iCloud account. After that, you can re-add your iCloud account and it will sync data all over again. This will allow the system to reset itself, eventually overcoming some issues. Another try is to restart your computer: after the first dong sound, you keep pressed the keys command+option+shift+p+r in order to reset PRAM. After hearing the second dong, you can release the keys. Let me know.

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.

If you want to, you can send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner. Pick the closest topic you can find.
