Delete grid lines

I am trying to make a spreadsheet in numbers. I want horizontal grid lines in the 2nd and 4th columns. I want 1st and 3rd columns totally blank. Is there a way to do this?

Rephrasing your statement:


You want a four column table with NO borders on cells in columns A and C, and NO borders on the right side of cells in column D.


Start with the a new table. Select all columns to the left of the last four. Delete the selected columns, leaving a four column table with no header column.


Open the Format Inspector by clicking the Format brush, then select Cell to open the Cell pane of this Inspector.



Select column A.

In the Inspector, go to the Borders section.

Select the third button in the top row (all borders).

Click Border Styles to open the pop up menu, and click the last item, No borders.


Select column C and repeat the steps above with the same setting.


Select column D.

In the Inspector, select the third button in the second row (right borders)

In the menu, again choose (click) No Borders.


Your result should look like this:
