Migration Assistant stuck at the same number for +12 hours

It’s been +12 hours and Migration Assistant has been stuck at the same number of hours remaining. It’s my second time trying this after the first try got stuck at 485 hours remaining.

This is the M1 Pro 16 inch. I’m trying to transfer data from my Windows 10 PC. I have transferred the same exact data before on a different MBP (2016) and it went just fine, pretty quick too.

if you are stuck you can always force a shutdown by holding the power button/TouchID for ~6-10 secs.

Log out, sleep, wake, restart or shut down your Mac

Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support

Reboot and try again if necessary.

You do not state if this is a cable connection(?) which is recommended.

I would not use WiFi to transfer large amounts of data.
