I have iPhone XS, iOS 15.4.1. I am a professional classical pianist and I listen to a lot of classical music on my phone for reference when I’m practicing. The sound is scratchy and tinny. For me sound is a more important feature than the camera. Is there a fix for this or do I have to get a new phone? Is an android better? I don’t want to switch because all my “stuff” is Apple.

If the issue persists, tell us if you notice this audio issue with other apps. Does the issue occur with all songs? Does the issue persist if you connect headphones or a Bluetooth speaker? Please let us know if you have tried any other steps to resolve this issue.

Sounds like you're experiencing some poor audio quality while playing music on your iPhone XS. To clarify, is the audio outputting from your iPhone's speaker or do you have it outputting from a Bluetooth device potentially, such as a wireless speaker?
If you play music directly from your iPhone, do you still experience this or does it only happening when playing music on an external accessory? Also, is this occurring over Wi-Fi, cellular data, or both?

Thanks for the reply! The sound is scratchy when I play music from my iTunes library directly from my phone. I have cleaned the speaker on top and the holes on bottom.
