Ipad pro unlock screen dimming

Hi, I noticed that the dimming lock screen issue hasn't been resolved and im wondering if any new info has been found on this. It is a nuisance for it to dim every time I turn it on, its brand new and was just fine 2 weeks ago how do I fix it? I dont want a password I don't intend on bringing it outside the safety of my home. I would appreciate a solution as this ipad was over $1600 please figure this out.
