Distorted Music through bluetooth in the car

Hi,

I have an iPhone 12 mini, and when it's connected to my car multimedia the audio is distorted and VERY unpleasant. Whatever I play from the multimedia itself sounds fine and clean.

This happens only when I'm connected to my car. It DOESN'T happen on my airpods 3 and not through the speakers. I've checked with a few other iPhones and the problem doesn't exist when they're hooked up, so it's something specifically with my phone. My OS is up to date (15.4.1).

I have "forgot" and reconnected the phone many times, turned it off and on. Nothing worked.

Does anyone have any idea on what to do?

Thanks!

Hi orenboren,

Does the same issue happen if you connect your iPhone to your car via USB (if available)? We want to see if this happens with only Bluetooth or not.

Also, does your iPhone have this same behavior with other car stereos via Bluetooth? Does this happen with multiple audio or audio from a specific app (Music, Podcasts, Phone, so on)? Your answers can help determine possible next steps to take from here.

Take care!

Hey

When I connect through USB the only thing that happens is that the phone starts charging. I have no access to the files on the phone. If I do, I'm not aware of it.

It happens from every app (YouTube, music, drive etc) as long as it plays via Bluetooth.

I haven't tested it in other cars but I DID test my car with other iPhones and there was no problem. This happens ONLY with my phone.
