mic seems to not get picked up by safari but works on every other browser which a few of my friends are having the same bug happen to them. i just hope it gets fixed in a patch and also theres no option to do voice searches on safari which i hope gets added :(

Are you able to use an external microphone when accessing Safari?
Since safe mode determines if the issue is caused by the software that loads once the Mac boots up, we suggest checking in safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac. If it works in safe mode, restart normally and then test the microphone.
If issue happens in safe mode or isn't resolved once restarting normally, we recommend contacting Apple Support here: Get Support .

If this is isolated to only Safari, you'd need to make sure Safari has proper access to the microphone in Settings: Control access to hardware features on iPhone - Apple Support
Aside from that, if the issue is isolated to one particular website, it could be an issue with that particular website itself, and nothing to do with your iPhone. In that case, you'd need to reach out to the website developer.

Still nothing & btw I’m using a iMac computer not the iPhone :(
Those steps only work for third party browsers. I’m on safari, i was originally on chrome and the mic worked fine, then I switched to safari and nothing :(
