iMac folder with qeustion mark wont go away no matter what I do

So I factory restarted my iMac because I'm about to sell it but when I did that it doesn't work at all, all the tips that apple support gives out, YouTube tutorials, everything it does not work and I need help! im really freaking out I don't want to lose my 1 grand!

The question mark means there is no properly installed OS to be found.


At this point you take it to Apple for evaluation, or you do it all again. I suggest you do it again.
