Blue border around watch screen does not go away

The resolution mentioned in this thread did not work for me.

I contacted apple support and after searching for a while we were able to resolve the issue by turning off the Activating gesture setting to non (Accessiblity > Assistive touch > Hand Gestures > Activating gesture) and disable the Visual Signal
