Home Screen oddity

today I randomly noticed two green messaging buttons (the little talk bubbles) that you press to create a text . They seemingly did the same thing . If I had text messages both squares showed the same thing . It has never happened before . I’m worried my phone might be hacked . Please help !!

Hey there, Twinmomof4.

You can see if restarting your iPhone may help sort out the two Message icons showing on the Home Screen of your iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support Restarting can seem like a simple step, but it can sometimes help resolve unexpected issues like this.

What happens if you remove the Messages app from there? Move apps and widgets on the Home Screen on iPhone - Apple Support Do both get removed or only one? We want to see if this step may help resolve this.

This most likely a temporary issue that can be resolved with software troubleshooting steps. Let us know how those steps go or if you have any questions.

Take care.
