MacBook Air m1- 2020- speaker(RH) problem

I do have buzzing/crackling noise from RIGHT speaker on my MacBook Air m1. That appears random, mostly after running some processor consuming applications, usually gets back to normal after cool down.

Anyone had similar issue before?

  • Apple assistance could not monitor & help any issues
  • Diagnostics at the startup also cannot find any issues

Hi hyalki,

We see you're hearing some crackling intermittently from your Mac speaker. Have you tested headphones to see if you get similar results?

Since diagnostics showed no issues with the hardware, we recommend testing in a newly-created administrator account. Here's how to Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac - Apple Support

Let us know if you're able to replicate the issue in a new user account. That will help work out the best path forward.

Take care.
