power nap issues after hard drive replacement at Apple Store

So I had Apple replace my 3TB fusion drive in my 2017 iMac (SMART errors). I then restored from Time Machine.

Since getting the computer back it has issues coming out of power nap. I get a kernel panic sometimes or the iMac won't wake up. Time Machine also doesn't back up hourly anymore, only when I sit down at the computer.

Apple support had me reinstall Monterey on top of itself and that didn't fix the issue.

I discovered that turning OFF power nap seems to let Time Machine back up hourly and of course no issues sitting down to the computer after a break.

Any suggestions? I had power nap working for four years and I'm hopeful it does save a little electricity.

Thanks in advance.

I would leave power nap turned off.

electricity saving is nominal to hardly none. I would just let it sleep.
