Hi ralf138,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that when you attempt to open Safari, you see an alert that it has unexpectedly quit, correct?

To help us isolate this behavior further, check out the troubleshooting steps outlined here: If an app freezes or quits unexpectedly on Mac - Apple Support

If you're still experiencing the same behavior, we'd like to have you test opening Safari in safe mode to determine if this behavior is isolated to this one account or if it's system wide: Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

Intel processor
1. Turn on or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key as your Mac starts up.
2. Release the key when you see the login window, then log in to your Mac.
3. You might be asked to log in again. On either the first or second login window, you should see ”Safe Boot” in the upper-right corner of the window.

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers!
