Restoring Photos From iCloud

How do I do restore my photos from iCloud? I accidentally deleted a majority of my photos and I want to get it back. I haven’t backed up my phone in awhile so that’s not an option.

Also how do I disable iCloud from saving my photos. I was trying to do this originally but then most of my photos got deleted after I accepted something (Pic 1).

I think I undid the option but I don’t know if my iPhone is getting back all of its photos from iCloud. The only mention of that I see is in storage (Pic 2). Also I don’t have 37.85 gb of photos, I only have 730 photos out of 3,218. On gallery it sometimes say it’s updating 1,911 items, but then it would say it’s uploading 672 items.

So, how do I get all my photos back in full quality?

Hey ahomosapien,

If you use iCloud Photos, your photos are not stored in a backup. Instead, you would want to check your Recently Deleted folder. You can do this with the following steps:

• Go to Photos > Albums, and tap Recently Deleted in the Utilities section.

• Tap the photo or video, then tap Recover.

• Confirm that you want to recover the photo.

Hey ahomosapien,

Did you go through the other steps in the above article to see if you could recover your photos using those options? You should also go to iCloud.com from a computer browser and see if your photos are showing there. If not, you should reach out to Apple Support at the following link so they can look further into your missing photos with you:

As for not saving your photos in iCloud any longer, you can go to Settings > Your Name > iCloud, tap Photos and turn off iCloud Photos there.

Sorry, I should’ve added this but my photos never went to recently deleted. It all disappeared. I did check on that first to see if I can recover them but there was nothing to recover.
