Thunderbolt 3 adapter for external display not working with MacBook Pro M1
My MacBook Pro M1 external display connection is not working via USB-C thunderbolt 3 adapter. Do I now need a thunderbolt 4 adapter?
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.12

If you mean an old iMac then that is no longer supported.

TB3 or TB4 the same for your connection. What display are you using and what connection choices are there?
I’m using my old Mac desktop as additional display. The desktop has a thunderbolt connection. So I’m using a thunderbolt lead to the usb c adapter. Thanks
