App store incorrect password

I've been wanting to download apps on my mac that I bought a couple of weeks ago (late 2013 model) but every time I try to put in my password for my iCloud account, it's saying it's wrong? I've even changed the password and it's still not working! I'm lost at what to do as the password if definitely right as I'm getting verifications on my phone.

iMac 21.5″, OS X 10.11

We want to help you get signed into your Mac so you can get those apps downloaded. We have a few questions to help us isolate the issue.


Are you signing into iCloud settings or the App Store?


Is it possible you have more than one Apple ID?


Does your same password work at our iCloud website? Please try it from your Mac here: iCloud
