My iPhone 12 touch screen won't work

My iPhone 12 touch screen won't work, I have tried the whole hard restart which only took away me being able to use Siri. I plugged my phone into my MacBook Air and repeated the process of column up and down then holding the lock button. That only told me that I had to unlock my iPhone to be able to utilize the functions for the computer so I wasn't able to update my phone to try and fix this issue. Are there any other things I can do to try and fix this?
