Why my delivery date keep changing?

Please remember you are not addressing Apple here. We are you fellow end users with no access to Apple manufacturing or order records. Posting here accomplishes nothing.

Keeping up the news should show you plenty of reasons why there are global shipping delays affecting all manufacturing segments.

• A friend had to wait seven months for a build-in refrigerator model needed for a US$40,000 kitchen remodel.
• Cities in China where many consumer electronics are made shut down recently due to a 2022 COVID resurgence, closing the factories. Most are only now reopening.
• Lithium ore, mined from the earth to make rechargeable batteries like those in a MacBook Pro, is under pressure to find more deposits as more electric vehicles are mandated.
• Shiiping containers are stacking up in expanding markets where a system of returning empty containers to use are not in place.

I could go on.

So welcome to a new global economic model. "Order early" is a lesson that has been in place since March 2020.
