iTunes Home Videos Gone with the Wind??

All of a sudden I can't SEE or get check box for HOME VIDEOS which used to be under Movies in my Library? Yes, I TRIED Library Edit and NO BOX is there for HOME VIDEOS. I still see them in my Movies section on iphone and ipad though. Just NO ability to ADD new ones from Home Videos like I have done for years in iTunes...? Please help.

No that wasn’t it. I realized what I did! Cleaning up files I DELETED the file where my iTunes media was being stored in DROPBOX. When u have NO media in your storage, the HOME VIDEOS CHOICE AUTOMATICALLY DISAPPEARS! As soon as I put downloaded media into the library the HOME VIDEOS OPTION AUTOMATICALLY POPPED UP!

Any recommendations for storage of media besides Dropbox as there are limitations wo addition charges…..

You can stream your unhidden purchases from the cloud freely, so you don't necessarily need to store local copies of those. iTunes probably won't play nicely with cloud storage other than its own iTunes Match or Apple Music subscription services, which only work with music. I keep my library on an external drive, backed up to a couple more for security. One possible workaround for laptops is to have a small local library and a second library on an external drive that you only use when you're at home, but switching between them is extra effort.
