I think you would need to wait, around a month till you receive MacBook Pro at the shop.

In the US, "ship to store" for is not currently available in major metropolitan areas. (e.g., Metropolitan Boston where I live.)

Instead, they would like to bring it to you within two hours for a modest local delivery charge (US$9).

A "pool" of new devices is held in common, and any order in that Metropolitan area can be rushed to you from that pool. This eliminates the problem where models are languishing at one store, but buyers are being turned away at another store.

My personal opinion: the local delivery from a "pool" may seem to be a great idea, but if they are still using a meal delivery service that does not deliver as promised, I would buy elsehere. I may trust Uber with a $20 delivery, but not a $2,000 computer.

I know it has been more than frustrating; I really had to chase around for the iPad model I wanted - ended up with a larger storage model from an authorized reseller (PU at store next day) while Apple's queue is still "processing". But I'd never trust a meal delivery service after reading posts here.
