External microphone

I'm really frustrated!! I've been using the Smule Sing app for years using an external microphone and headphones. Since new apple products don't have headphone Jack's, I had to do it differently. I used the iRig Voice microphone that has an adapter at the end of the cord that let's me plug in headphones. Then I had to use an adapter to plug that into my IPad since the port on it now is usb c. It worked well for a couple years, but one of the recent updates has made it so it won't work. I used Smule Sing a lot and really want to use it again. Can anyone tell me how I can use an external microphone and headphones for Smule Sing on my IPad Air?? Please, can anyone help me?
