My New iMac 24

I got this new iMac and was wondering if I should shut down every night or just put it on sleep and keep a broswer open like Firefox or Safari? Will I be doing harm keep them open during sleep? I prefer sleep this way it is on when I wake up but it opens super fast since its new so is there a really any harm to sleep versus shutdown? Is my Activity Monitor monitoring it at sleep?

Sorry dfor all the new emails about my new iMac I just want to keep it for a long time too expensive to buy another. Also any way to bring back the 3 bars for notification?

Thank you all

Frank

Letting it sleep is fine. You can leave browsers and the programs on oversight while it sleeps. The device is designed to sleep in that way to conserve energy and avoid wear and tear. You can also shut it down if you prefer. Some say it is helpful to shut down or restart the computer every week or every several weeks or so.
