I want to use the ipad as a wacom tablet

When I use the iPad as an extension (sidecar) I can not see the cursor when I lift it up.

This is very frustrating and now I need to buy a Wacom.

You could simply have a button there that enables this feature.

Also there could be one to turn of the screen (just black)

Who are you addressing...? This isn't Apple tech support, this is a peer-to-peer support community. No, you cannot use your iPad as a drawing tablet (and whether you can use an Apple Pencil with it is model-dependent. Supported iPads (1st generation Pencil):

  • iPad (6th, 7th, 8th and 9th generation)
  • iPad Air (3rd generation)
  • iPad mini (5th generation)
  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st and 2nd generation)
  • iPad Pro 10.5-inch
  • iPad Pro 9.7-inch

Supported iPads (2nd generation Pencil)

  • iPad Pro (3rd, 4th and 5th generation)
  • iPad Air (4th and 5th generation)
  • iPad mini (6th generation)

What do you mean by "I cannot see the cursor when I lift it up"? Lift what up...? Sidecar does allow you to use your iPad for input, but sounds to me like you're attempting to use a Pencil with an unsupported iPad - what is the model of your iPad...? If you don't have one of the aforementioned models, your device isn't compatible.

Please post back to this thread explaining what, exactly, you're trying to do, along with your iPad model.
