Does Apple TV interfere with wireless connection on LG C1?

I have set up the LG C1 TV to use wifi wirelessly in our media room. We have only streaming services. It has worked flawlessly until now. Once I added the Apple TV 4K we got last month, the wifi has had major problems and the TV is constantly halting, freezing, or not coming on at all. It makes watching shows unbearable or impossible. This happens at the same time when my wifi is working perfectly and all other devices have no problem connecting and using it, including an older LG TV in another room that also streams wirelessly.

I tested my theory that it was the Apple TV 4K causing the issue by turning it off and trying to stream shows on the C1 without it. As suspected, the streaming works perfectly. But as soon as I turn on the Apple TV, the streaming starts to fail.

Any ideas on what I can check/change to make this work without problem? Thanks.

Apple TV 4K, tvOS 15

Hi Rick Fernandez1,

To make sure we're on the same page, when streaming using the LG built in apps directly, if the Apple TV is also connected, the LG stutters and stalls. However, if you turn the Apple TV off, the LG then works properly, is that correct?

If so, are both devices connected to Wi-Fi? If you hardwire one or the other with an ethernet cable, does the problem persist?

If it's then resolved, its likely an issue with your router. If you have a dual-band router, it could be congestion on the 5ghz or 2.4ghz networks. Or simply a power cycle of your setup is required.

Should problems persist from there, let us know.

Cheers!
