Raw CR2 image is super Grainy

How do I check to see if the latest CR2 Raw Image updates are in both Monterey and Photos app on my MAC. Raw images are horrible and have some unknown error when processing changes

Ventura Update: Problems with editing in RAW in Photos for Mac Since updating my iMac to Ventura, Photos for Mac will not save edits I make on my photos in RAW format. The originals download in RAW without any problem, but when I edit them, I am told that there was an error downloading them and I'm left with a very low-quality image. In effect, I lose the photo. I had no problem with this before the Ventura update, and I still seem to be able to edit on my MacBook, which has not been updated, so I'm assuming it's a glitch in Ventura. photos Upgraded to Monterey 12.1 now it seems I cannot access RAW photo files only jpegs for editing. I take both sometimes but when I try to switch to RAW it just says switching but never seems to accomplish the switch. Tried shooting just RAW and although it says they are downloaded RAW files appear as white or black thumbnails, no picture. Any clues on how to resolve ?

Can't view/open RAW or .CR3 photo files on my MacBook (updated OS) Hi there! I shot a wedding yesterday and handed my second shooter my SD card. Here's the problem, she used RAW camera setting. I imported the files on my MacBook, but I can't view the photos. They are just mere grey squares. Although, prior to importing, I can see what the photos look like in thumbnail. But when I imported them, they are just grey square just like in the photo below. PLEASE HELP!!!
