Hi all, just wondering if someone could satisfy my curiosity. I do some photography with a Sony a7iii camera, that does NOT have any gps functionality. I recently noticed that some photos I had taken and dropped into Photos have been accurately geo-tagged and are showing in Places exactly where they were taken.
Has anyone any idea how this has happened? I'm slightly gobsmacked to be honest.

Have you previously used them in some other cloud service, such as google photos?
Or have they been taken at the same time as some other pictures that do have locations?
How does Photos geo-tag photos with no location information?
