Why can't I open my Documents folder today?

Suddenly this morning I cannot open my Documents folder from the Finder. If I log in to iCloud in Safari I can access the Documents folder in the web browser interface. I have iCloud Drive enabled in my system prefs.

After a restart it appears to be working normally again. I read online about Apple transitioning old documents to iCloud Drive and got kinda nervous. There does seem to be some sort of issue with iCloud today, as I see other posts of a similar nature to mine.
