Screen Sharing (double rectangle) icon in the menu bar appears for a split second and then disappears. The Screen Sharing (double rectangle) icon on the menu bar appears for a split second and then it disappears. This happens roughly every minute. I can not click on it to access options or to see if there is another computer connected. Screen Sharing is turned on by choice- I use it to access my screen from my home computer from time to time. I have not installed nor am I using any third party screen sharing app to share my screen, just the Screen Sharing preference that is in MacOS. The odd behavior stops when I turn off Screen Sharing. Could malware be causing this or is there another computer watching my screen? Should I be concerned or is this just a glitch?

Screen Sharing: I can see the user's mouse movement but not the screen content. We use Screen Sharing for several devices in our house. I am able to see the screen an M1 MacBook and an M1 mini however on my wife’s new and M1 iMac, I am able to login and only see a black screen but I can However I am watch her move mouse across the black screen. I cannot see is anything else. Any ideas on what is happening and how I can correct it? Paul

Live captions (beta) disappear when screen sharing I have been enjoying the new live captions (beta) accessibility on my Mac, I am so happy apple has begun to develop this product. I am deaf and work remotely, this has allowed me to add captions to anything that's coming through the computer speakers and is so much better than the captions provided within meeting apps because I don't have to see whatever I say captioned. My only problem is when sharing my screen during a meeting. When I share my screen the "grey box" that captions typically appear in seems to have a security feature that blacks it out so I cannot read the captions of what people say while I'm presenting. When I stop screen share, I am able to scroll up and see what everyone said while I was sharing. I use two monitors and it doesn't matter where I put the caption box - the same issue occurs. I also noticed that if I take a screen shot of my screen while the captions are going - they're automatically blacked out, which is why I assume it's a security feature (and I understand that and can appreciate it). However, I hope the team developing this wonderful accessibility feature can figure out a setting that allows the captions to still be visible on a separate screen while screen sharing.

By using Sys Prefs>Accessibility I can get 3 different sizes.
