AirPods Auto Switch

Apple created a wonderful idea that your AirPods would switch to whatever Apple device you were currently using. However, this can be irritating at times and you wish to shut if off. The same advice is given all over the web to do the following:

With your iPhone/Mac/MacBook:

  1. Settings
  2. Bluetooth
  3. Hit the ! next to your AirPods
  4. Switch to "When last connected"

The problem is, this does not include iPad! There is no such feature in the iPad, and my iPad is the predominant problem of this nature. Please add this feature to the iPad's iOS.

iPad Pro, iPadOS 15

According to:

Switch your AirPods to another device - Apple Support

"If you're signed in with the same Apple ID on your devices, your AirPods will automatically switch from listening to music on your iPad to answering a phone call on your iPhone, for example."

and in the 'Switch your AirPods to another device - Apple Support' section it says:

  1. With your AirPods in your ears and connected to your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Tap the More Info button  next to your AirPods in the list of devices.
  3. Tap Connect to This iPhone [or iPad].
  4. Tap When Last Connected to This iPhone [or iPad].

If it doesn't;'t work that way, you should bring it to Apple's attention using this link:
