Heart rate for apple watch

I keep asking why there are gaps in the heart rate app markings. Some are solid lines, others show gaps. The link provided in another answer, just takes me to Apple Support, but doesn't answer the question.

The lines represent the fluctuations in your heart rate as it goes up and down during the day, depending on your level of activity.

If you have a line going from 50 to 140 your heart was beating harder during that time.

The gaps in a line means that a heart rate at that number wasn’t detected in that time.
