Same here. Our child's accounts cannot use Apple Pay

We have two kids, 12 and 16, but none of them can add a card in Apple Pay. It has nothing to do with our bank since iOS sais "Payment cards are not supported for this account" before I even have the chance to use their cards. According to Apple there is no limitation, but clearly there is.

Do I have to lie about our kids age?

Under age Apple IDs cannot use credit cards through Apple Pay. They can use Apple Card Family with the Apple / Goldman Sachs Apple Card.

Or they can use Apple Cash account through Family Sharing.
