Macbook 2012 Backlight not working

I recently replaced my SATA hard drive with an SSD drive and have noticed that my backlight is now not working in my ( late) 2012 Macbook Pro, the keyboard functions for the light work but back light is coming on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Try resetting the SMC How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)
