How to mute ads in YouTube videos using iPad Pro?

Is there anyway to mute all these ads I am forced to listen to when watching YouTube videos? I have the M1 iPad Pro and the volume button doesn’t do it for me? Especially, with those ads which can be skipped after 5 seconds. I end up enduring 3-4 seconds of a name brand burned into my memory.

At least on my computer, I can pause the video with the keyboard space bar, click on mute, hit space bar again to continue to the 5 second mark, unmute with my trackpad, space bar to continue, and not one second of commercials.

YouTube Ads are difficult, but not impossible, to suppress.

One of the few Content Blockers that can suppress YouTube advertising is 1Blocker:

Of 1Blocker’s many advanced capabilities is a script-extension. More details of 1Blocker’s YouTube Ad-blocking can be found here:

Not sure of any adblock apps. For some obnoxious ads, a path

may (or not) exist by clearing Safari of previous site visit history.

For older iPad models, following seemed to work. May do nothing

for newer product issues, &/or acquired misery..

"Double tap the Home button, then swipe upwards on the Safari preview.

Go to Settings - Safari - Clear History.

Restart Safari. "

Not sure about Malwarebytes for iOS. ~ Tried that early-on; but not lately.
