Unable to update Macbook Pro (mid 2012) and unable to load older Apps

MacBook Pro mid 2012 running Catalina 10.15.7

I need Pages and Numbers compatible with this OS

OR

I need to update to Big Sur or Monterey

App Store displays "the requested version is not available"

How do I get around this issue without replacing the MacBook Pro?

App Store > View My Account ... and log in if not logged in.

Pages and other similar Apps should be shown there.

If they say [Open} you already have them in your /Applications folder, they are not on the Dock yet.

If they say [Download] click that and re-download the older version.
