iPhone Safari’s tabs aren’t deleting

My phone is very important to my everyday life and I use a lot of tabs and keep them open for a fair amount of time and don’t normally clear them out right now my tabs in safari will reopen even after I close them is there a way to fix this because I was able to delete a few but it won’t let me delete more?

Hey Codie0107,

If you haven't already, restart your iPhone as restarting can resolve many odd issues: Restart your iPhone

If the tabs still don't close as expected, the following steps should help:

  1. Install any available software updates as they include fixes and security updates, and may help to resolve this issue. If an update is needed, back up first. Both steps can be found here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
  2. Do you use iCloud to keep tabs updated across devices? If so, check those devices to see if the same tabs are open there, and close them. More information can be found under "Keep tabs and Tab Groups updated across your devices" here: Use tabs in Safari on iPhone

Take care.

This happens to me also. I have tried the suggestions above. I have an additional problem if I open a new tab and go to another app then want to come back to safari. It has erased the tab I most recently used and loads my very first tab. It only keeps my tabs if I open another tab after. Then they never delete. Which is very frustrating m. Did s you solve your problem?
