I don't have the Documents folder locally. I can only access the Documents folder from iCloud, which makes me panic.
Is there a way that I keep it locally and it can sync to iCloud automatically?
I find some solutions from Google, but prefer to have an official explanation and solution.

When you turn on iCloud Drive Desktop & Documents option, the Documents folder is moved to the iCloud Drive section of the Finder sidebar. That does not mean that there is not a local copy of those files on your Mac.
Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Apple ID > iCloud (in the Preferences sidebar) and look at the Optimize Mac Storage option near the bottom of the main Preferences window. If you don't turn Optimize Mac Storage option on you will have a local copy of all of your Documents; if you do turn it on then some of the Documents may be only on iCloud.
