Thunderbolt 2 Connections Question

I just acquired a Late 2014 Mac Mini. The 2017 iMac that I had been using, sadly processed its last restart, and gave up the ghost. But, that 2017 iMac had a couple of Thunderbolt 3 connections, that I used with USB devices by purchasing USB to Thunderbolt 3 adapters on Amazon.

When I went to try to use these adapters with the Mac Mini they didn't fit, so I'm assuming that there's a difference between Thunderbolt 3 ports and Thunderbolt 2 ports.

So, the question is this. Are there adapters (or cables) that allow you to plug USB devices into Thunderbolt 2 ports?
