Apple Music student subscription membership

On my MacBook, I try downloading music so I can listen offline but I get this message 'this device is linked to another Apple ID, you must transfer this device to your Apple ID to play your content saved offline. You'll be unable to transfer this device again for 90 days', with the options 'cancel' and 'transfer'. I choose transfer and I keep getting try again later saying there's an error, any help with that ?
