How do I turn off home screen editing when I press and hold on blank space in ios 15?

When i press and hold on a blank area of the screen it starts editing. Works great until the phone is in my pocket and this function is accidentally activated. How do I turn this off? Turning off 3D/haptics does not disable.

Why do such a design? home screen is a rarely used feature. Many users had same question. I think Apple should provide the switch to disable it at least.

You would be better to disable Raise to wake in Settings, Display & Brightness to avoid pocket wake-up and activation.

You must also have no Passcode set if you can get to the home screen in your pocket, that is a serious omission. There should be no way to get that deep into home screen edit accidentally.

Also I suggest you check Tap to wake in Settings, Accessibility, Touch and turn it off if it is enabled
